David Thomson, M.D.

Dr. Thomson has 35 years of practice experience in ENT/otolaryngology, specializing in ear, nose, and throat care, nasal and sinus conditions, sleep apnea, and hearing loss. He has served the Upson and surrounding communities now for 7 years. Dr. Thomson earned his bachelor’s degree from Williams College in Williamstown, MA. He earned his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. He did his residency in Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia.

Following his residency, Thomson had a solo practice for 23 years. He was most recently employed by Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine as an otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon. He is board certified in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery by the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Thomson works alongside audiologist, Dr. Kerry Evans and Courtney Vaughan, PA-C to provide comprehensive ear, nose, and throat diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment to patients of all ages. Upson ENT is located at 100 Hwy 18 W in Barnesville. For appointments, call 770-872-2321.
