Let’s Celebrate!

On Thursday, October 1, URMC is celebrating meeting an important milestone, 80% participation on the 2020 URMC Employee Voice Surveys! This accomplishment couldn’t have been possible without everyone pulling together and submitting their feedback. We will celebrate for day shift as well as night shift. The menu will include buffalo chicken sliders with celery, carrots, and ranch, mini sevel layer dip with tortilla chips, pigs in a blanket with mustard, chips, and homemade monster cookies. We will have a sno-cone truck here for staff to get their own custom flavored sno-cone. We will also have FREE chair massages in the Cafe Meeting Room from 10am – 2pm and 6pm – 9pm. Employees may dress down in their favorite, work appropriate dress down attire. (Jeans are acceptable.) During lunch, staff can eat in several areas. Food, music, and fun with our mystery guest can be enjoyed on the lower level of the parking deck. Or, up to 30 employees can choose to eat in the Auditorium where there will be appropriately distanced seating. For night shift, staff can eat in the Auditorium. The sno-cone truck will be closer to the building for staff to pick up a sno-cone. Please join us for the festivities!

Service Awards

Many staff have asked about the service awards that were originally planned for April, 2020. The pandemic forced us to delay the banquet, thinking we would be able to do this later in the year. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to have the banquet this year due to the circumstances. However, we are working on an alternate way to recognize these individuals and their years of service. Stay tuned, we will be making an announcement soon about this.

PTO Payout

December is approaching and this means PTO Payout time. If you are wishing to cash out up to 40 hours of PTO, get ready to complete and submit your PTO cash-out form to Human Resources. The deadline will be announced soon but we are not going to be able to accept forms that are late. Stay tuned for more details.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is just around the corner. Although we don’t anticipate huge changes, there may be a few this year. One change that we think will be helpful is the addition of a line on your paystub that will show whether or not you receive the discount for the Wellness Center participation. Employees can really SAVE a lot on health insurance by being a participating member of the Wellness Center.
