Upson Regional Medical Center Welcomes ENT, Dr. David Thomson!

Upson Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome David Thomson, M.D. to Upson ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) beginning January 6.

Dr. Thomson has 30 years of practice experience in ENT/otolaryngology, specializing in ear, nose, and throat care, nasal and sinus conditions, sleep apnea, and hearing loss. Dr. Thomson earned his bachelor’s degree from Williams College in Williamstown, MA. He earned his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. He did his residency in Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia.

Following his residency, Thomson had a solo practice for 23 years. He was most recently employed by Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine as an otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon. He is board certified in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery by the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Thomson and his wife, Maggie, are excited to join the Upson community. “I chose to be part of the URMC family because of the wonderful, dedicated staff who are first and foremost dedicated to the welfare of the patient,” said Thomson.

Dr. Thomson will work alongside audiologist, Dr. Kerry Evans, to provide comprehensive ear, nose, and throat diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment to patients of all ages. Upson ENT is located at 100 Hwy 18 W in Barnesville. For appointments, call 770-872-2321.
