Upson Regional Medical Center Completes Annual DNV-GL Accreditation Survey With No Adverse Findings

Upson Regional Medical Center is proud to announce it recently completed its annual accreditation survey through DNV-GL with no adverse findings.

By maintaining accreditation, Upson Regional Medical Center has demonstrated it meets or exceeds patient safety standards (Conditions of Participation) set forth by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. DNV surveyors visit Upson every year and examine facilities, processes, and documentation to make sure the hospital excels in patient safety. Upson’s 2020 survey was a three day intensive review of critical patient safety components, and was performed by a multi-disciplinary survey team.

“Our perfect accreditation survey score demonstrates our hospital’s constant commitment to patient safety and quality improvement,” said Suzanne Streetman, Upson Regional Medical Center Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer.

“An accreditation survey without any adverse findings is rare,” added Jeff Tarrant, Upson Regional Medical Center CEO. “One of our survey team commented he sees this at roughly one hospital per year. This is a tremendous accomplishment for Upson but even though our 2020 survey is now complete, we remain committed to maintaining the same level of focus on quality and patient safety going forward.”
