Upson Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome James J. Zubernis, DO, FACOOG, to Upson OB/GYN Thomaston and Barnesville locations beginning October 7th.
Dr. Zubernis has over 25 years of practice experience in general obstetrics and gynecology, operative and cesarean deliveries, and open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Zubernis earned his bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Zubernis is board certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He most recently practiced at Marcus Day Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, Montana where he was named Chief of Surgery.
Dr. Zubernis is ready to move cross county and be a part of the Upson community with his wife Tina and children Colby and Elizabeth. They also have five other children; Christina, Emily, Jeffrey, Jamie and Christian who live on their own.
