Happy Hospital Week!

Happy Hospital Week to everyone! This is a special week for everyone and a week of thanks for the organization’s leadership to you. Although we have to do things a little differently this year, we appreciate the work you do and hope to celebrate in style very soon!

The celebration this week will include the following:

All Week – Flooding Facebook with recognition for staff all over the hospital and clinics

Wednesday Morning – Chik Fil A Biscuits beginning around 7:30am in the café entrance door

Thursday Evening – 6:00 pm – 6:15pm – Lower Lot Parking Lot – Community Support Vigil – Please come and show your support for your peers who are on the forefront of this pandemic.

Friday – Dress Down Day (Upson logo t-shirts are allowed) and CUPCAKES distributed around 11:30 am in the cafeteria

If you’re really, really lucky...you might just see a “local celebrity” all dressed up walking the halls this week!

To those folks working at home, be sure to send Chandler your selfie of your telecommuting adventure. We want to share your stories on social media and with your peers here in the hospital.

Partial Unemployment Claims

Payroll will run on Wednesday and partial unemployment claims should be submitted to the Georgia Department of Labor no later than Thursday, May 14. HR worked closely with HIS to create new reports that will pull information cleaner and quicker from the payroll system. This will increase the speed and accuracy of the information that is submitted. Remember, partial unemployment claims are for employees whose hours have been mandatorily reduced as a result of the slow down in business related to COVID-19. Employees who have been offered work, but declined work, are not eligible to receive partial unemployment. If you feel like you should have gotten partial unemployment but don’t know if a claim has been submitted for you, please contact Tammy Elliott at extension 1564.
