Thomaston, GA, October 1, 2024 - Upson Regional Medical Center is excited to welcome Stewart Barrett, M.D., to Upson Surgical Associates. Dr. Barrett joins Dr. Darryl Knight, Dr. Robert Solyomvari, and Jess Rogers, PA-C at Upson Surgical Associates.
Dr. Barrett recently completed his general surgery residency at Grady Memorial Hospital. He received his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. He is a general surgeon who has extensive training in the latest technology. Dr. Barrett provides expertise in robotic surgery which allows for faster recovery times and fewer complications.
Dr. Barrett, who is a native of Loganville, GA, shared, “I was initially drawn to Upson Regional because of the pride the organization takes in providing the latest technology and robotic surgery options in the rural setting that I love. Upson and surrounding counties offer beautiful scenery and fantastic quality of life. I am looking forward to becoming ingrained in the communities that URMC serves.”
