Perinatal Unit

At Upson Regional, we are proud to deliver nursing care for you and your baby. We offer mother-baby care which promotes mothers and babies rooming together from delivery until discharge. This allows Mom and her new bundle to be cared for by the same nurse. This method of care means better continuity of care for both mother and baby.

If your newborn requires special attention we have a level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where your baby will receive specialized care from highly-trained and certified nurses.
As an added benefit to our breastfeeding mothers, we have two board certified lactation consultants on staff to answer any questions you may have and help you if you have any concerns regarding breastfeeding. We also have certified car seat technicians on staff to ensure that your car seat is safe as you take your newest family member home!
