Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Upson Regional Medical Center is equipped with some of the most up to date monitoring and diagnostic equipment available link to GE Solar monitoring system site, link to BIO-Z info. Our ICU cares for patients that suffer from illnesses or injuries affecting all body systems. The highly trained nurses working in the ICU, many that hold national Certification, are capable of managing critically ill patients and providing competent compassionate care. If the patient needs medical services not available at URMC, our ICU nurses will manage the patient until arrangements for transfer to another facility can be made and if necessary will accompany Highly Trained Emergency Medical Personnel while making the transfer.

Myocardial Infarctions (Heart attacks)
Cerebro-Vascular Accidents (Strokes)
Trauma
Respiratory Difficulties
Complex surgical cases
Severe Allergic reactions
Life Threatening Cardiac arrhythmias
Diabetic Emergencies
Sever Infections (Sepsis)
Cancer

The physicians that care for patients in the ICU represent many specialties and work collaboratively when necessary to provide the best possible care.

Intensive Care Hours:
10:00 AM until 10:00 PM
Visitors will be permitted 10 minutes, Every two hours on the even hours.
